Their Language
The people of the Warao tribe have their very own language called Warao. This is where the name Orinoco comes from, it actually means "a place to paddle."
Living Like a Warao
The Warao people live in small huts which can be found on the highest land of the river or on stilts.
The Warao babies will often learn how to swim before they even learn how to walk. This is done for safety reasons, in case of a flood or a child falling off a boat.

Tuberculosis
Tuberculosis is a terrible sickness that spreads a lot around the Warao people.
